What a local gem!! You can tell how great this place is by the full parking lot and the happy people coming out with full bellies!! Great food withvery nice down home people attentively serving you!! Lots of tables so the wait time is very reasonable and food is well worth it!! Definitely a go back a lot delightful experience!!
This is a very inexpensive diner. Honestly, I couldn't have expected better. They sat us down quickly, got us drinks promptly, and our food came hot and fresh in a timely manner.
Do stop by this gem if you are on route Montery Bay to Yosemite. The service and food is excellent. The choices are wide and every dish we ordered did not disappoint. We particularly loved the pancakes and potatoes - crispy on the outside and soft inside.

We were on the way to a 4th of July party from SF to Monterey. Needed to stop for food and Thank God we saw Country Kitchen on goggle map. Guys, the food IS DELICIOUS; the people are SO KIND and FRIENDLY. We are definitely creating another reason to drive down south to have Country Kitchen again. Pancakes- best I've had in decades. You get Warm Syrup Burgers - delicious Tuna sandwich- delicious Onion rings- chefs kiss. Don't pass it by. Go on and have food you will crave until you get back. I forgot to take photos 🫣 epic fail but it was too good to stop
It was an amazing experience. The food was good portion costing of 2 people 45.45$ not so bad at all I will say this place is super friendly respectful and who knew there was a small club for elderly people 😎 another bonus is that the staffs are quick respectful responded as well not bad 😀 first time coming here and now I will be coming here for special days will I recommend this place absolutely.
We’ve had good experiences at Country Kitchen and always enjoy coming here. The food has been consistently good, and it’s nice that staff come around to offer coffee refills. The staff has always been polite and friendly when we have came to visit. The service can take a little longer at times, but it gives the place a more relaxed, sit-down feel rather than a rushed experience. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal, especially if you’re looking for a more laid-back dining experience.
We had a great experience here.. There is usually a wait time, so be prepared to wait a short bit. We had the biscuits and gravy as an appetizer as we do at any new place so we can rate their gravy. The gravy was flavorful but needed a but more pepper for our tastes. We like it peppery though. The biscuit was soft amd melts in your mouth. The linguisa and eggs were cooked to just how I like them. The hash browns were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The corned beef hash was crispy which is awesome, but it is canned and not made fresh. Nothing wrong with canned, as it cam be amazing when cooked well. The blueberry pancake was put favorite and it comes with heated syrup on the side. The girl that sat us was kind of weird acting, but thenwaitress we had was phenomenal. She checked in on us throughout our meal and was polite and super friendly.
